Hello,
I have a 1996 L400 Delica for sale. 210,000km, 2.8L turbo diesel, Crystal Lite high roof 7 seat van for sale.
Comes with Yakima high clearance cross bars and a 2" hitch receiver.
I was the first owner of this van after import, i bought it fully serviced and passed requirements through Coombs Country Auto. we have put 100,000 km on it in the 7 years we have owned it but it's time to pass this adventure vehicle on to its next user.
The good:
It's a great BC / Van Isle adventure van. it's been to many remote camping spots, up Mt. Wash, Mt. Cain and some back country trips up Cokey, ect. great AWD mode for snowy highways and 4x4 low for when you need it.
It seats 7, you can sleep in it, and it can haul a surprising amount of items in it, including a full sized washer and dryer in 1 trip!
Also makes a great 2 person camper van for that #vanlife lifestyle
Mechanically in great condition. starts every day and is a daily driver for my wife. everything that should work does. 4x4 system, lights, A/C, sunroof, crystal light retractable shades. it gets decent mileage for a 4x4 and diesel has always been cheaper than gas!
The not so good:
it's a 23 year old van that i have used for 7 years and 100,000 km! it;s hauled 2 kids from babies and a dog. we are an active outdoor family so it has its share of dirt and snow and gear in it. it's also been up Mt Wash a lot, and there is some rust on the front Bull bar and side steps, a blister on the passenger door, some blistering above the windshield, and some blistering on the drivers side rear wheelwell. if you can live with this, or want to fix your self, i am passing on the savings. The chassis underneath is in good shape.
It also needs a lower control arm bushing installed. i have the part, just no means to press it in myself.
in general, its an awesome van for the cost conscience backcountry explorer.
